My Story

I was obese the majority of my childhood and teenage years, I always said I was going to change but I’d give up after a few days. When my grandpa was in hospice care in 2018 the last words he spoke to me were about my weight and it ignited a fire within me. From that point on I made a vow to change my lifestyle and be the person I always wanted to become.
I learned about weight loss, developed and overcame eating disorders and found a love for the gym. Through this, I was able to document my journey and inspire many others along the way.Obesity is not only harmful physically, but mentally as well. And I want to show people that there is a way out, nobody is lucky and all it comes down to is what you’re willing to put in.

What do you feel are the contributing factors to your success in weight loss/weight management? What challenges did you face in this journey?

Understanding that the journey takes time. And if you make the most of every day you’ll see results quicker. Also understanding that it requires a lifestyle change, not just losing the weight. The biggest challenges I faced were my fixing my old eating habits and learning to be patient.

“When I look at myself now, I see myself as being mortal and I want to preserve the back end of my life. I’m advocating for people to take a longer view of their health. You need to invest in yourself and your health to have a long fruitful life so that you’re not in discomfort when you’re 60 or 70. Everything you do now will benefit you later.”
